how things work.

horse racing results will be made based on past performances in both races and workouts, as well as the horse's traits when it comes to surface, distance and climate.
for example, let's say if "chocolate candy" broke his maiden in a 5 1/2 furlong race over a dirt track labeled "fast", and he lost his other two races going 6 1/2 furlongs over a dirt track labeled "sloppy", he either dislikes going the longer distance or he dislikes running in the slop. the latter option is the most plausible, as most horses will extend to the 6 1/2 furlong distance with the proper training.
also, if a horse runs a large workout every day, or runs workouts tightly scheduled together, it's performance on race day will be heavily affected. the horse will be tired, and will have a higher risk of breaking down.
workouts will be based upon what the trainer, or owner in some cases, want. they are to PM one of the two admins with the DATE they want their horses conditioned on, the DISTANCE they want their horses running and the SURFACE they want them running on. depending on former performances and their last workout, a time will be calculated and posted on a time sheet, which will be located in a sub-board on whichever racetrack or farm your horse is residing at.
betting is quite simple: you pick the horse you think will win, and then you PM one of the two admins with the bet. please make sure you have the right amount of money to bet, because if you bet money that you do not have, your bank account will go into negatives.
if your horse wins, or your trifecta or exacta cash in, the winnings will be directly deposited into your bank account.
the bank system is really easy to use, so long as you are smart with your money. almost every human will have a job, and this job will have a pay that comes in every two weeks. all humans are considered to work 5 times a week, but if you would like your human to work longer hours or more days, let the administrators know.
when it comes to purchasing items in rp or betting on horses in races, it is YOUR responsability to reply to your bank account thread with the withdrawn money. your balance will be edited by an admin either way, but it is really helpful when players keep track of their spendings.
